New features

Support for more frequency plans in EU868 (Europe)
Applicable for: All

  • EU868-1 (8ch) (867.1 - 868.5)

  • EU868-2 (8ch) (867.1 - 868.5)

  • EU868-3 (8ch) (866.5 - 868.5)

Information icon added after Sensor and Gateway statuses
Applicable for: All

To provide users with more information about what the different statuses mean for sensors and gateways, we have added an information icon after the status. If you hover your mouse over the icon, a descriptive information box will appear.

More search parameters added in Search Sensor
Applicable for: Service Provider

We have added two new fields in search sensor, 'Alias (list)' and 'Serial Number (list)'. These fields can be used if you want to search using a list of aliases or serial numbers. When you paste the list, spaces are removed and replaced with a comma.

Possible to change Device Profiles on sensors
Applicable for: Service Provider

In connection with the acquisition of Senet, there is now an opportunity for more complex Device Profiles. We are now adding possibility to change Device Profiles directly on a sensor. Remember that customer-specific Device Profiles must be created for each organization before they can be added to a sensor. Creation of device profiles in an organization needs to be done with the help of Netmore personnel.

Export Profiles added that enables multiple exports on a sensor
Applicable for: Service Provider

There is now the option to add one or more Export Profiles to a Service Provider. An Export Profile contains one or more Export Configs. It is possible to add both global Export Configs and those created specifically for the Service Provider.

When an export profile is created on a service provider, you have the option to apply it to the service provider's devices. This can be done in the UI, via the Batch list, or through the REST API.

Downlink response topic can now be set for customer hosted MQTT
Applicable for: Service Provider

When sending a downlink, we have so far replied with the response on Netmore MQTT using a fixed topic structure. When defining a customer-hosted MQTT, it is now possible to set a Downlink Response Topic, where we will place the downlink response.

Packet Forwarder is a new field on Gateways
Applicable for: Network Provider

This was previously combined in the Gateway Type, where different Packet Forwarders could be selected for various Gateway Types. We have now separated the fields, and Packet Forwarder is now its own distinct field.

Grouping on provisioning fields on gateways
Applicable for: Network Provider

We have now grouped the fields related to the provisioning of a gateway. This is done because there are dependencies between these fields.

If the gateway is not provisioned to the Network Server, it is still possible to edit these fields. This is only possible if the user has been granted the role to create gateways, and it only works for Network Server LNS-EU-N1 and LNS-US-E1.

After the gateway has been provisioned, it is no longer possible to change the fields, except for the Frequency Plan.

Role for creating gateways
Applicable for: Network Provider

Previously, only system admins were able to create gateways, as unique configuration files had to be created for each gateway. With the acquisition of Senet, it is now possible for customers to create gateways themselves in the portal and then install the software. When you have been granted the role to create gateways, you will find the function at the top of the menu for Network Providers.

Keep in mind that this only applies to gateways connected to our new Network Server, which became available following the acquisition. Right now, it only works for network server LNS-EU-N1 and LNS-US-E1.

Validation table added that shows how different gateway types can be configured
Applicable for: Network Provider

We have now implemented validation of how Gateways in different network servers can be configured together with packet forwarders and frequency plans. Its only possible to create Gateway that has a valid gateway type configuration that our support team adds to this table. Above each column, there is a filtering option if you want to view available configurations for e.g., a specific manufacturer or Gateway type.

Guide to create gateways
Applicable for: Network Provider

When you click on 'Create Gateway' in the left menu, a popup will appear where you need to fill in the Network Provider for which you are creating the gateway.

You will then be guided through a process where, by filling in the network server, you have the option to specify the Gateway type. After that, you will fill in the Packets forwarder, and finally, select the frequency plan. Once completed, the GWEui,  Serial Number and Gateway license will be displayed. After filling in these details, you will be able to create the gateway.

Network Provider can now change Secondary Connection on a gateway
Applicable for: Network Provider

Previously, Network Providers did not have the ability to update information about secondary connections on a gateway, but with this release, it is now possible.

Role of moving gateways between Network Providers
Applicable for: Network Provider

We have now implemented the ability for users with access to multiple Network Providers to move Gateways between them. If a Gateway is moved to another Network Provider, you need to select a valid Gateway license for the new Network Provider. If a user has been granted access to this role, they click on the Network Provider name, and a popup will appear where the move can be completed.
