Device - LoRaWAN Device Tracking

Prev Next

The Device - LoRaWAN Device Tracking page provides a geographic visualization of where uplink messages from a specific device were received.

  • The dot represents the estimated position of the device..

  • The ring shows the estimated position range of the device, based on signal strength. A larger ring indicates weaker signal quality, while a smaller ring suggests stronger reception.

  • When playback is enabled, the visualization updates dynamically according to gateway location and reception. The system automatically selects the gateway with the best signal quality for the device.

Purpose of this page:

  • To track the device’s movement or transmission locations over time.

  • Visualizes the coverage area and reachability of gateways receiving messages.

  • Helps assess device mobility, gateway density, or coverage gaps.

Key components:

  • Map View: Google Maps-based interface showing geographic locations.

  • Heatmap/point cloud: The blue zones indicate the areas where the device has sent uplinks that were successfully received.

  • Interval Selector (top-left): Lets you filter the map data by time range (e.g. “Latest Week”).
